Masks

If you are like me, you probably have a ton of cardboard every week around the house. Instead of recycling, how about using it to create a work of art?

This can be done just with cardboard and paint, or it can quickly become a very cool mixed media project. So many choices, so little time!

Cardboard is very versatile art material that can be used in many unique ways. All you need for this activity is cardboard, scissors and glue. You don't even need glue, actually -- even if you just cut it with scissors and overlap, and carefully photograph it, you can create something amazing. If you have additional materials like crayons, paint, or markers you can get even more creative with your piece!

The key here is layering. For the most interesting look, try cutting out separate facial features and layering them on top of a base, as pictured below. You can create something that is realistic, abstract, or research ancient masks for a different look!

Don't want to create masks, but have a different idea using cardboard?

No worries! I trust you! GO TO WORK and let me know if you need anything!
